
Dr. Shefrin has been practicing Neurology in the Bay Area for over 25 years. She was an Attending Neurologist at UCSF-Mt. Zion Medical Center for fifteen years and now is a Consulting Neurologist at Marin General Hospital (Marin Health). She has been practicing in Mill Valley since 2006. She sees the full range of neurological conditions and is an Expert in Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia.
Dr. Shefrin trained at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, the top rated neurology residency in the country. She also completed a two year fellowship in Parkinson’s disease at the world-renowned Neurodegenerative Disorders Center at the University of British Columbia. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at McGill University in Montreal. She has authored several papers, including a review entitled “Therapeutic Advances in Idiopathic Parkinsonism.”
Dr. Shefrin spends a lot of time with her patients and provides thorough and thoughtful evaluations. She allows time for patients to ask questions and works with them to arrive at solutions to their problems. Patients are welcome to see her for a second opinion.
